Wesley Johnson

Mr. Johnson is a litigator and business lawyer with more than 25 years of experience representing clients in a wide variety of civil litigation, business transaction and real estate matters.

As a litigator, Mr. Johnson has represented clients in disputes involving eCommerce, intellectual property, trade secrets, employment disputes, business broker disputes and class action matters. Mr. Johnson’s business transaction work includes trademark licensing and portfolio management, real estate closings, and assistance with mergers and acquisitions and asset purchase transactions.

Mr. Johnson has been a long-time member of the Chicago Bar Association. He has also served as panelist and Panel Chair for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program since 2006. Mr. Johnson works with Intelink Law Group as local counsel in Illinois, and is also a partner of Goodman Tovrov Hardy & Johnson LLC.

Notable Representations

  • One of the primary attorneys in a civil rights class action case on behalf of black pipefitters who fought for decades against pervasive discrimination in their industry. On November 17, 2020, the court issued final approval of a settlement including a $3,000,000 payment and extensive injunctive relief designed to reduce future discrimination and allow more black pipefitters to move into leadership positions in the industry. (Porter v. Pipefitters Local 597, 12-cv-09844).

  • Led and managed team of 55 attorneys conducting discovery in a patent litigation for a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company.
